This firmware is compatible with both the modular and fixed format iLive Surfaces and MixRacks.

Note 1 - From firmware V1.62 onwards the Dual-Rack function has changed. The Slave MixRack now uses Port A instead of Port B as the link between the two MixRacks. This frees up Slave Port B for other card options. To use Dual-Rack make sure your Master Port B and Slave Port A have a compatible network option loaded. To ensure correct operation make sure all your iLive systems are updated to this latest version V1.63 onwards.

Note 2 - Any version of firmware V1.63 onwards will not install on early iLive Surfaces fitted with the 1GHz TouchScreen computer (SBC). This affects only a few very early modular iLive Surfaces. Most modular iLive and all fixed format T and R Series Surfaces are fitted with the faster 1.5GHz SBC. If you attempt to update a 1GHz system to V1.63 onwards the firmware will load but an ‘Invalid Firmware Version’ screen will appear after the update. You can roll back to the previous version V1.54 from this screen. A hardware upgrade to 1.5GHz SBC can be carried out by your Allen & Heath service agent. This provides the benefit of improved system speed and performance.

The Editor software can run on a PC (32 & 64 bit OS), MAC or Linux. Update your Editor software at the same time you update the iLive system firmware. To find out more about the system requirements, operating platforms supported and instructions for installing and using the software:

Make sure all your iLive and T Series MixRacks and Surfaces are updated to the latest version of firmware.
This is easily done via USB key. To find out more:

iDR32 and iDR48 Mix Racks - Software Update via iLive Editor

We have become aware of a manufacturing error which has resulted in the incorrect boot code being used within certain IDR32’s and iDR48’s. The code that has been used is the same as that used prior to the release of firmware version 1.5 and therefore does not support the use of iLive Editor to update the firmware within the Mix rack.

The units affected will have serial numbers previous to these listed below and contain an “x”.

If your serial number does not contain an “x” it is not affected by this issue. The Mix racks can be updated via a connection to any surface in the normal way. Once a Mix rack has been updated via a surface it will be able to be updated using iLive Editor in the future. If you cannot update your Mix rack and you don’t have access to a Surface, please contact your distributor or please contact Technical Support at support@allen-heath.com for assistance.
